KVM over IP Switching
www.avocent.com
The DSR4030 and DSR8030 KVM switches
give administrators Virtual Media
capability through DSView 3 software as
well as all the features of the DSR4020
and DSR8020 switches.
For easy access to network devices, the
switches include USB ports allowing you
to remotely power cycle connected devices
and external modem support - even when
the network is down.
DSView 3 management software, with hub
and spoke architecture, provides failover
authentication. Users authenticate to a
central management server (the hub)
or one of 15 mirror servers (the spokes).
SNMP and IPMI support are also provided.

DSR8030 Switch
DSR4030 & DSR8030 KVM Switches
KVM over IP switches with BIOS-level control of all
connected servers and serial-based devices in your data
centre - now with Virtual Media.
What is Virtual Media?
Virtual Media eliminates the need to physically
load a CD directly to the server to perform data-
related tasks on-site. You can remotely load
software by mapping a local removable media
or mass storage device to a remote server. This
allows for remote file transfers, application and
OS patches, and diagnostic testing.
